Scalloped Potatoes

6 cups thin potato slices;
2 tbsp margarine;
2 tbsp flour;
1 tsp salt;
1/8 tsp pepper;
2 cups milk;
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese;
1/4 cup green onion.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place potatoes in greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Melt margarine in saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add milk; cook stirring constantly, until thickened. Add cheddar cheese and onions; stir until cheese is melted. Pour over the potatoes and cover with foil. Bake for 1 hour. Remove foil; continue baking 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Garnish with paprika and additional onion slices.

Serves: 6 to 8
