1 1/3 cups flour,
1 tsp salt,
1 1/2 tsp baking powder.
Combine: 2/3 cup milk, one beaten egg and add to dry ingredients. Mix just until it is moistened.
Stir in two cups fresh, young corn.
Drop batter from tablespoons into hot fat.
Fry until golden brown.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen fritters.
