Kentucky Style Eggnog

Beat 12 egg yolks until light. Gradually add
12 tablespoons of sugar.
Add 1 1/2 cups Bourbon whiskey, very slowly, beating constantly. 
Fold in 12 stiffly beaten egg whites and
1 1/2 pints cream, whipped.

This makes a gallon of very rich eggnog which is served with spoons. A pinch of freshly grated nutmeg may be sprinkled over each cup.
